IBM Tivoli Overview
Course Description
Tivoli Overview is designed to provide the delegate with a general overview of the products and services offered by Tivoli Systems. The benefits of implementing Tivoli Framework and applications as a systems management solution for information systems enterprise are addressed by using a globally dispersed email system as a case study.

This course is designed to be a two-day course providing hands on experience through lab exercises and demonstrations. However it is very often scheduled in to one day (where no exercises are offered), to provide a marketing type overview for delegates that require a general understanding of the concepts and product offering rather than a technical appreciation.

  • Identify the problems with managing today’s complex globally dispersed, heterogeneous network enterprise systems.
  • Describe the services Tivoli provides for managing the enterprise environment.
  • Identify management problems and Tivoli solutions within the context of the case study.

This course is intended for IT managers or technicians desiring an overall understanding of the Tivoli suite of management products and solutions.

Required Skills Knowledge
This course is designed for individuals with a background in Information Technology and an interest in learning the Tivoli solutions for enterprise management problems. The audience should be familiar with general networking concepts.
