Course Description
IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator is an open-architecture, meta-directory solution for synchronizing and exchanging information between directory and database sources to provide a consistent, enterprise-level view of a company's identity information without requiring a centralized database. This course provides a three-day hands-on experience with the IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator product. Topics will include Architecture, Directory Integration Planning, Assembly Line Creation, Component Configuration, and Troubleshooting. Laboratories will present realistic scenarios and focus on tasks that students might encounter while using the product to implement a solution.

• LDAP: Students should be able to install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot LDAP servers.
• Students should be able to understand schemas for LDAP servers.
• Students should be able to query, insert, modify, and delete data in LDAP servers.
• JavaScript -- Students should be able to write, modify, and debug simple JavaScript programs.
• Databases -- Students should be familiar with RDBMS and Object-Oriented Database concepts.
• XML -- Students should be familiar with basic XML concepts.
• Java -- Students should be familiar with Java concepts.

The IBM Tivoli Directory Server LDAP Training Course is recommended, but not required, as a prerequisite.
