Information Management
You don’t know what information people are hanging on to, and you don’t know what they are deleting.   You don’t know whether the correct version of a document is on the network or on someone’s local hard drive.  Staff are wasting time recreating content because they can’t find what they need.  And all the time, your IT storage costs are going through the roof.

Wouldn’t the world be a better place if you could get your unstructured information under control, and get it working for you?

  • Customer service staff would be able to find the right information for customers, faster
  • Legal departments would be able to comply with legal discovery orders quickly and easily without involving the IT department
  • Invoice processing costs would tumble
  • Sales would be able to respond to RFIs and RFPs faster
  • Compliance Managers could guarantee that the right documents were being retained, for the right period of time, and being disposed of at the right time.

IBM’s enterprise content management (ECM) software portfolio enables you to collect, classify, retain and reuse unstructured information, making life easier for you, your customers, and your staff.

IBM FILENET EMAIL MANAGER
IBM FileNet Email Manager provides active collection capabilities for Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange, and Novell GroupWise.  Automated collection addresses the operational problems caused by the growing size of email and electronic messaging stores.  Automated collection also ensures a complete record of all inbound, outbound, and internal emails for compliance purposes.

IBM COMMONSTORE
CommonStore for Lotus Domino and Commonstore for Exchange provide comprehensive email archiving capabilities for their respective messaging systems.  By coupling policy-driven and manual email archiving with reduced-instance storage of attachments and emails with easy retrieval from the Notes or Outlook client CommonStore enables reduced mailbox sizes and supports compliance efforts.

IBM FILENET RECORDS CRAWLER
IBM FileNet Records Crawler enables a business to get the content that is scattered across network file systems, under management and under control.  Records Crawler provides a fully automated and centralized document capture process, in which files matching specific business rules are automatically indexed and archived in the FileNet repository.

IBM CLASSIFICATION MODULE
The IBM Classification Module automates the classification of unstructured content by analysing the textual content of documents and emails.  With feedback from users and administrators, ICM adapts its understanding to enable ever more accurate classification, even suggesting amendments and additions to existing document taxonomies.

IBM CONTENT MANAGER
IBM Content Manager provides the repository and infrastructure to support content-intensive applications such as case management, email archiving, document imaging, regulatory compliance, and eBilling.  Content stored in Content Manager can be accessed by a variety of clients, as well as through native applications, and portals.

IBM FILENET CONTENT MANAGER
FileNet Content Manager is IBM’s market-leading content management platform for active content.  Business processes generate and use content, in forms, emails, and documents.  Filenet Content Manager combines powerful document management capabilities, with industry-leading workflow and business process capabilities to drive content-related tasks and activities.
