Lotus Foundations is a complete small business server with email, anti-virus, anti-spam, calendaring, contact management, file sharing, team collaboration and an office productivity suite - allowing businesses to benefit from all of these capabilities seamlessly with little IT effort.  Lotus Foundations Version 1.0 however, could not be integrated with an existing Lotus Notes/Domino environment, or extended with additional Domino servers to add features such as replication and instant messaging.

Lotus Foundations 1.1 - announced today - can be added to an existing Domino environment and also allows for additional Domino servers providing distributed computing, instant messaging and more.
