Introduction to IBM DB2 Universal Database 8.1
Course Description
This course prepares a student to take and pass the DB2 UDB V7.1 Family Fundamentals certification test 512. The course trains the student on an in-depth knowledge of basic SQL, DML, DDL, and an understanding of database objects (tables, views, etc.). A basic understanding of the concepts and features of DCL, database creation, data types, stored procedures, programming, components and packaging (SDK, EEE, etc.), protocols supported, installation of products, GUI tools, CLP, basic isolation levels, and import/export is also covered. During the course the student will build and run a DBS UDB database using data made available in unload format. The database and data are simple, but will illustrate the basic create and load tasks.
