Servlet & JSP Development with WebSphere Studio Version 5
Course Description
In this five day course, students learn how to write Web applications using the JavaTM J2EE technologies. Servlets and JavaServer Pages (JSP) provide a programming model for building robust and scalable Web applications. Students also learn to interact with Enterprise Java Beans from their Web applications applications. Students will learn to use WebSphere Studio Application Developer version 5.0 in hands-on activities.

Learn about the J2EE architecture for Web applications

Learn about J2EE technologies such as JDBC and DataSources, Servlets, JavaServer Pages, and Enterprise JavaBeans

Apply the Java Servlet API version 2.3; and JavaServer Pages (JSP) API version 1.2

Lean to interact with Enterprise JavaBean version 2.0

Create a Web application in WebSphere Studio Application Developer


Who will benefit from this course
This course is designed for programmers planning on writing JavaTM J2EE Web applications.

Prerequisites
Students should have solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and the JavaTM language, a basic understanding of WebSphere Studio Application Developer, the ability to read and understand HTML documents, an understanding of the World Wide Web functionality, a familiarity with TCP/IP protocol suite, and Windows user skills.
